Love the Sales

Being a fan of a bargain, as any student/normal human being is, I hastily jumped at the chance to work with Love the Sales when the opportunity arose. The premise of having a website troll through 500+ websites of sales and compile the findings into one, user friendly, area is what Kevin Bacon would unironically call a "no-brainer". Search by brand, size, style, category, colour, price, or discount, creating a comprehensive list tailored to exactly what you want at the price you want it. Theoretically, of course.

For this post, I focused my attention on shirts, with a maximum budget of £40. My goal was to pick a shirt from a brand that I don't have any items from. I figured that this is the true test of Love the Sales. My rationale being that if I buy from a brand often, I am likely to check their sales without the need for such a website, making it an ineffective use of the resource. Quickly I discovered an array of shirts that I loved, in my size and price range. My only issue throughout the experience was that it is only possible to narrow shirts down by size is via collar sizes - some may consider that more convenient, whereas I am fond of my layman-esque "small, medium, large" sizing.

It's a testament to Love the Sales that I struggled to narrow down my search for some time. Spending many minutes metronoming between multiple options, often finding myself reverting back to another or justifying one that was a bit different to my typical taste. Finally, however, I settled on the shirt seen in these images. A brilliant blue checked flannel shirt from Scotch & Soda, reduced from £95 to £39 on Tessuti.

As you can see, the shirt is aesthetically perfect for a woodland walk with the big dog (Oscar), Edwin Rainbow Selvedge jeans and, of course, my Red Wing Iron Rangers (that probably appear far too often). Overall, I am incredibly happy with my choice and I will be using Love the Sales again, without doubt. I would call that a success.
